What We Offer

Sessions are all about finding what suits each person’s individual needs.

They are held for a minimum of 2 hours and always start in our safe space; our comfortable area where light refreshments are available including tea and coffee making facilities.

From here we meet and discuss the plan for that day where the animals will be nearby waiting to greet you. This is a space that is returned to whenever needed.

We welcome people with Autism, ADHD, and other types of neurodiversity.

Activities include:

  • Learn to lead the ponies
  • Going for goat walks
  • Mane braiding
  • Learning about stable management and animal care
  • Freedom of expression is encouraged with the use of  non-toxic pavement chalk to create artwork around the stable yard

There is also an opportunity to learn more extensively from Harriet  about animal care and psychology, land management and conservation or just take in your surroundings and breath the fresh air at your own pace.

Animal Sense has proven to have a positive impact on people’s lives who have suffered from mental health problems, trauma, anxiety, self-harm, school refusers and special educational needs.

The safety of our animals and humans is a priority here at Animal Sense and we have our own Risk Assessment and Health and Safety Procedures which we will talk through at the start of each session.
